Bartow, Fla. (Jan. 12, 2026) – The West Highland Street closure, originally expected to reopen today, will remain closed for an additional three days.
All lanes on West Highlands Street between Kings Manor Trail Court and Beech Avenue in front of the City of Lakeland’s Southwest Complex entrance (1444 W. Highlands St., Lakeland, FL) will remain closed until 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16.
The roadway west of the closure between Southern Avenue and Kings Manor Trail Court and east of the closure between Beech Avenue and Pinewood Avenue will remain closed to through traffic.

The closure is part of an ongoing City of Lakeland utility pipe replacement project.
