Polk County is in the process of preparing its Five-Year Consolidated Plan. Required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Consolidated Plan provides a strategy for addressing community development needs and determines the actions, activities and resources that will be used to address community housing needs.
You have the opportunity to make your voice heard by sharing how you think the funds should be invested into the community.

Attend the Community Input Session to discuss needs and priorities in-person. The session will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on March 19 at the Haines City Public Library, 111 N. Sixth St. in Haines City.
Activities eligible for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for low- and moderate- income families and neighborhoods include:
- Community services
- Economic development assistance
- Improvements to public infrastructure and facilities
- Homelessness
- Affordable housing
