Third Street Southeast in Highland City Closing Oct. 2 for Roadway Reconstruction Work

Bartow, Fla. (Oct. 1, 2026) – A section of Third Street Southeast in Highland City is scheduled to close at 7 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 2 for roadway reconstruction work.

Third Street Southeast will be closed between Clubhouse Road and Central Avenue Southeast until the roadway reconstruction work is completed. The roadway is expected to reopen at 7 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 16.

Traffic will be detoured on Clubhouse Road, Second Avenue Southeast and Central Avenue Southeast. Residents are asked to plan alternative routes as needed.

The closure is part of a Final Site LLC project.
