Bartow, Fla. (March 23, 2026) — A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for Polk County Utilities customers on Marie Drive, Lana Drive and Jenny Drive near Crews Lake Road in Lakeland, Florida. This is in response to repairs for a damaged potable water main, though repairs have been completed.
All water users in the specified area are advised to drink bottled water and/or boil water to a rolling boil for at least one minute for cooking and drinking.
This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until ongoing water sampling analysis has been completed. Polk County Utilities staff will issue a notice rescinding this precautionary measure once satisfactory results have been confirmed.

Update (March 25, 2026) — Polk County Utilities has discontinued the precautionary boil water notice issued on March 23 for customers on Marie Drive, Lana Drive and Jenny Drive near Crews Lake Road in Lakeland, Florida. Water samples collected from this area are free of contamination. The water supply has been completely cleared for use.
