CSX to Close Various Railroad Crossing Sites for Repaving

Bartow, Fla. (Jan. 24, 2025) — CSX will be closing various railroad crossing sites during the end of January and beginning of February for repaving.

All crossings will close on the date provided below between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. The maintenance team is on an eight-day working schedule, followed by a six-day period of rest.  This means their eight-day workdays are Jan. 21 to Jan. 28. They will be off from Jan. 29 until they return to work on Feb. 4. They will then work from Feb. 4 to Feb. 11.  Their final eight-day work schedule will be Feb. 18 to Feb. 25, which will be the end of the project.  Paving will continue after Feb. 25 until all crossings have been restored.

  • Coleman Road (SX 824.26) – Closing Monday, Jan. 27
  • 24th St SW (SX 824.52) – Closing Monday, Jan. 27
  • 15th St SW (SX 825.37) – Pending. Will close once Coleman Rd has reopened

  • 7th St SW (SX 826.04) – Closing Tuesday, Jan. 28

  • American Superior Blvd (SX 827.25) – Closing Feb. 4
  • Croton Rd (SX 827.43) – Pending. Will close once American Superior Blvd. and/or Eloise Loop Rd. has reopened.
  • Eloise Loop Rd (SX 828.36) – Closing Feb. 4
  • Macon Rd (SX 828.47) *One way in/out crossing* – Closing Feb. 4
  • Eagle Lake Loop Rd (SX 828.98) – Closing Feb. 6
  • Pollard Rd (SX 829.27) *One way in/out crossing* – Closing Feb. 6
