Festival of Writing 2026

When: March 7, 2026

Time: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Location: Polk County History Center - 100 E. Main St., Bartow, FL 33830

The Polk County History Center will host the 4th Annual Festival of Writing from March 7 to April 7. The monthlong exhibit features poetry and short stories created by students in the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program at Southeastern University.

Each piece will be displayed on the door of the gallery that inspired the author, giving visitors an opportunity to experience Polk County’s history through a new creative lens. The installation invites guests to explore the museum’s collections while engaging with original works that reflect the county’s people, places and past.

After the exhibition concludes at the History Center, the student works will be displayed at Southeastern University for staff and students to view campuswide.
