Avenue K Southwest and Sixth Street Southwest Nightly Closures Scheduled for April 1 and 2, 2026

Bartow, Fla. (March 31, 2026) – A portion of Avenue K Southwest and Sixth Street Southwest in Winter Haven is scheduled to close from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1 and Thursday, April 2 for base repairs, concrete curb/sidewalk and asphalt milling/resurfacing.

Avenue K Southwest will be closed between Sixth Street Southwest and Fifth Street Southwest and a portion of Sixth Street Southwest will be closed from the Avenue K Southwest/Sixth Street Southwest intersection to Avenue M Southwest. The roadways are expected to reopen at 6 a.m. on Friday, April 3.

Traffic traveling on the west side of the closure will be detoured south on Seventh Street Southwest, east on Avenue M Southwest, north on Fifth Street Southwest and then east on Avenue K Southwest. Traffic traveling on Sixth Street Southwest on the north side of the closure will be detoured east on Avenue G Southwest.

Residents are asked to plan alternative routes as needed.
