North Galloway Road and 10th Street West Intersection Closed for Roadway Improvements

Bartow, Fla. (April 28, 2026) – A portion of North Galloway Road and 10^th Street West in Lakeland closed at 7 a.m. on Monday, April 27 for a Polk County roadway improvement work.

The intersection will remain closed until roadway improvement work is completed. The roadway is expected to reopen at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 25.

Two lanes of travel will remain open on the southwest side of the intersection allowing eastbound traffic on 10^th Street West to turn south on North Galloway Road and traffic traveling northbound on North Galloway Road to turn west on 10^th Street West.

Traffic is being detoured on Sutton Road, Bella Vista Street West and then Wabash Avenue North.
